Hey there. Here’s another post I’m sure you will like, even the title says it all. Yes, yes, yes, I know that’s so 2018… but that was a great year for laptops.
For now, let’s focus on the Intel Core i3 laptops because I would like to share with you some of the best laptops that were good last year and still can be kick-ass this year.
For those who don’t really know, I mean at least you probably have some idea, Intel Core i3 laptops are popular because they are the most affordable, great value for your money laptops for doing daily everyday tasks like internet browsing, typing and editing documents, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and watching movies and series.
If you are looking to play games, edit photos, create or edit videos, even music production, then these laptops are not for you. The hardware is not that powerful enough to such tasks… but don’t be glum my fellow gamers, Spider Solitaire and Chess will work well. Even so, they come together with Windows.
If you are looking to play high-end games, then look to get an Intel Core i7 laptop or a gaming laptop with a graphics card, and 8GB of RAM.
To sum it up, if you want a cheap budget laptop, that you can use for your daily work, get an Intel Core i3 laptop. There are lots of them in the market that are within budget and are in good quality. Let’s take a look at some laptops.

- Lots of input ports,
- Loads of storage space
- Cramped keyboard layout
- Unresponsive touchpad functions
- Bloatware included
To start off, here we have the Dell Inspiron 5000 laptop. This Dell comes with a full HD touchscreen, 8 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of disk storage space. If I was you, I would be impressed because this laptop has a lot more memory than standard and a lot of space to store and save your stuff. The input ports include an SD card slot; HDMI, 3xUSB, and an optical DVD drive. With the SD card slot, you can increase storage, and with an HDMI slot you can plug it into your HDTV and use it as a monitor.
The keys on the keyboard are a bit small which will mess up your typing. The touch-pad has its bugs as well so if you can, get a USB wireless mouse. The laptop will most likely include Dell’s software or bloatware, which you can easily remove from the system. Overall, the Dell Inspiron 5000, comes with a good hardware package for a budget laptop. It has its flaws but if you manage them, it won’t disappoint you.

With all these great features, and yet it’s just an average laptop, with 4 GB of RAM, and 500 GB storage. Yeah, it’s not really impressive after all, but as said its an average laptop so it can meet and do your needs.
You get up to 4 hours of battery life per charge, which is not bad at its price, and also you may experience a bit of sluggish performance due to the low memory. But this laptop does its job. It makes for a good starter laptop for college students.

Another Intel i3 performer is the HP Pavilion high-performance laptop. It comes with a bigger 17.3″ display, maxing your screen resolution up to 1600×900. Inside has a memory of up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 2 TB of hard disk storage. The input ports include USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, a built-in card reader, and an optical DVD drive. The laptop comes also with a 5-hour battery, so you can use the laptop for long periods of time.
It’s actually sad that speakers were placed underneath cause if you are playing music, and want to hear it, you would have to lift up the laptop or plug in headphones or speakers. So get external speakers or headphones if you jam to your favourite beats while you work. Overall, this is an all-around good performing laptop, has some good memory and storage disk space, but the sound internal sound is a letdown. If you like this one and can handle its flaws, give it a go.
